Contactless fuel processing: The new Mercedes me service "Fuel & Pay" for digital payment at the fuel pump has been launched. Mercedes me users can use the service free of charge and pay conveniently digitally - without going to the petrol station or paying by card at the machine. This innovative service can be conveniently controlled directly from the vehicle using the Mercedes me app as well as the MBUX infotainment system.
Together with other partners from the automotive industry, Mercedes-Benz AG is participating in the development of an open, scalable network for the cross-company and secure exchange of information and data in the vehicle industry. The Automotive Alliance has been founded by BMW AG, Deutsche Telekom AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, SAP SE, Siemens AG und ZF Friedrichshafen AG and will operate in future under the name „Catena-X Automotive Network (Catena-X)“. Catena-X serves as an expandable ecosystem in which automobile manufacturers and suppliers, dealer associations and equipment manufacturers, including application, platform and infrastructure providers, can equally participate.
