  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm, Nov 29, 2012 - The German travel operator Schmetterling Reise- und Verkehrslogistik GmbH has recently expanded its fleet with the addition of 16 new Setra low-floor buses, type S 415 NF. This major order, for a total of 19 Setra MultiClass 400 rural-service buses - the biggest investment ever made by this small family-run business, based in the Franconian town of Geschwand - was triggered by the company winning the tender for a local public transport contract.
  • Stuttgart/Paris, Aug 27, 2012 - France's state-owned railway company SNCF is launching a new business model that relies on the use of comfortable touring coaches – and thus on the Setra brand. The 26 new vehicles of the ComfortClass 400 S 416 GT-HD model will be linking the major cities of Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and London from 23 July 2012
  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm, Mar 22, 2012 - The Ulm-based bus and coach brand Setra has delivered its 100th new vehicle since 1999 to Latvia. The Setra S 415 UL was handed over to the bus operator "Talsu Autotransports" together with a second S 415 UL from the MultiClass 400 series. The two buses from the current generation of Setra inter-urban vehicles are equipped with 49 seats. With integrated service sets, double-glazing, adjustable backrests on the "Route" seats, air conditioning, a destination display and a pushchair space opposite the centre entry, they meet all the requirements of the Latvian transport ministry.
  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm, Jan 25, 2012 - Belgian coach operator Voyages Léonard is giving its fleet of vehicles a facelift with 17 Setra TopClass touring coaches. The coaches form part of an order for a total of 32 new vehicles which the Sales-Lentz Group has placed with the Daimler brand. Luxembourg's largest bus company became the Belgian tour operator's new owner in January 2011.
  • Stuttgart/St. Gallen, Nov 17, 2011 - The delivery of an S 415 GT-HD at the end of October was a special cause for celebration for the company Gebrüder Ebneter AG in the Swiss town of St. Gallen. The Setra ComfortClass coach was the 50th new vehicle from the production line in Neu-Ulm to come to the long-established, family-run company. With the arrival of this latest two-axle model the tour operator, currently run by the third generation of the same family, now operates a total of nine buses from the Daimler brand.
  • Stuttgart/Ulm, Nov 2, 2011 - Following the start of series production in Neu-Ulm, in southern Germany, the first buses in the new Setra ComfortClass S 407 have been delivered to two major US bus operators. Seven buses made by the Ulm-based brand, part of the Daimler AG Group, went to the Martz Group of bus operating companies in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The company offers both tour and scheduled services throughout the United States and Canada. Two of the new buses were also delivered to "Dattco" in New Britain, in the US State of Connecticut.
  • Neu-Ulm, May 13, 2011 - In the 125th year after the invention of the automobile by Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, an internationally recognized bus brand is also celebrating its anniversary: Setra Bus in Ulm is turning 60. “Setra’s success is demonstrated by the fact that the brand has been best in class for the past 60 years,” said Hartmut Schick, Head of Daimler Buses, during the run-up to the big anniversary celebration.
  • Neu-Ulm/Istanbul, Mar 23, 2011 - Setra has won a major contract from the country on the Bosporus, with Turkish bus operator Metro placing an order for 50 new Setra S 416 GT-HD/2 coaches in Neu-Ulm. A Setra partner since 2002, this major customer based in Istanbul is thereby increasing the number of Setra coaches in its fleet to 214. The two-axle Setra ComfortClass 400 vehicles will be delivered from late May to early June of this year.
  • Neu-Ulm/Istanbul, Mar 3, 2011 - Turkish company Varan Turizm has reinforced its long-standing and loyal relationship with the Ulm-based bus brand Setra through the acquisition of its 250th touring coach since 1984. The milestone vehicle, a twin-axle Setra S 416 GT-HD, is part of an order for a total of 15 such vehicles which are scheduled for delivery over the course of the coming weeks. Five of the ComfortClass 400 coaches were handed over to company owner Enis Pekuysal at the Setra Customer Centre in Neu-Ulm by Lothar Holder, Director of Sales for Setra buses and coaches at EvoBus GmbH.
  • Neu-Ulm/Weilburg, Dec 15, 2010 - With the acquisition of 15 Setra model S 415 UL rural service buses, Hessian company “Medenbach traffic” carried out the largest investment in its 50-year-long company history, thus underscoring the great trust it has for many years placed in this brand of the Daimler AG group.
  • Neu-Ulm/Belluno (Veneto region), Oct 6, 2010 - The 2000th Setra super high-decker (HDH) model from the TopClass 400 range of touring coaches has been handed over by Lothar Holder, Head of Setra Bus and Coach Sales at EvoBus GmbH, to Dr Pierdomenico Gnes, President of Dolomiti Bus S.p.A., Belluno. Speaking on the occasion of the handover of the landmark coach at the EvoBus Customer Centre in Neu-Ulm, Lothar Holder highlighted the importance of associating the requirements of an efficient and well-known bus and coach operating company with the quality and capabilities of the vehicle manufacturer.
  • Neu-Ulm, Germany, Apr 29, 2010 - With the addition of an S 415 GT HD coach to its fleet, Slovenian tour operator “Street Tour” has acquired a very special vehicle. The Setra ComfortClass 400 touring coach is the 50th new vehicle since 1998 to be supplied to this Central European country by Daimler Buses’ Ulm-based brand.
  • Strasbourg / Neu-Ulm, Oct 26, 2009 - The supreme administrative authority (Conseil General) of the French department of Bas-Rhin (capital: Strasbourg) has placed a major order for Setra regular rural-service buses in France. 52 vehicles of the Setra MultiClass 400 line offering 51, 59 and 65 seats and measuring 12 m, 14 m and 15 m in length will be delivered in Strasbourg by the end of October.
  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm, Feb 27, 2009 - The Swiss company PostBus has accepted delivery of its 500th Setra bus. The delivery of the milestone vehicle, an S 412 UL of the MultiClass 400 series, is a high point of a partnership between the Swiss bus service operator and the Ulm-based bus brand that has proven its strength for more than 30 years.
  • Neu-Ulm, Dec 16, 2008 - Setra Buses and Coaches, a Daimler brand, has delivered its first touring coach with Active Brake Assist (ABA). The bus company "Reisedienst Bölck" took delivery of the S 416 HDH model from the new TopClass 400 range at the Setra Customer Centre in Neu-Ulm, Germany.
  • Neu-Ulm, Jun 11, 2008 - At the start of June, the Setra Bus and Coach unit - a Daimler brand - supplied the 10,000th coach from the Setra 400 series. The milestone vehicle was one of a batch of five S 416 GT-HD/2 models to be handed over to Varan Turizm at the Setra Customer Centre in Neu-Ulm by the Chairman of Daimler Buses, Harald Landmann.
