  • Stuttgart/Schladming (Steiermark), Feb 12, 2013 - The Alpine Ski World Championships is a major international sporting event which is taking place from 4 -17 February 2013 in Schladming (Steiermark), and this year features as its slogan "Ski Festival with a Heart - for our Environment". • Wörth/Budapest, May 31, 2012 - They are now an everyday sight in the Hungarian capital of Budapest: since October 2011, 21 Unimog U 20 models from Mercedes-Benz have been operating in the district of Buda, in the pedestrian zones in the city centre and on the pedestrian pathways along the Danube. The purchasers from the city cleaning company EKF Zrt. had been most impressed by the qualities of the Unimog U 20.
  • Wörth/Luxembourg, May 30, 2011 - The Civilian Protection Authority in Luxembourg has started using a Unimog U 20. The firefighting tank vehicle is fitted with a body from Gimaex-Schmitz Fire and Rescue GmbH in Wilnsdorf and will be used to support the firefighting operations of the Unimog U 5000 which went into service in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in 2010.
  • Croatia, Nov 24, 2009 - Firefighting premiere for the Unimog U 20: the first Unimog of the compact model range now has been delivered to the Croatian city of Ŝibenik as TLF 10/25 tank water tender. The U 20's special talents are its tremendous manoeuvrability (wheelbase 2.7 m, overall height 2.70 m, overall width 2.15 m, turning circle 12.6 m) and its handling qualities in difficult terrain. They are called for especially when the tank water tender has to negotiate steps in the historic old part of town to reach any of the very narrow streets.
  • Stuttgart, Jan 31, 2008 - The seasons have come full circle. After initial demonstrations of the Unimog U 20 with summer-service implements at the Demopark show in Eisenach in June 2007, the latest addition to the Unimog family has now completed its ice and snow test following a tour of German ski resorts. The Unimog U 20 will be widely available, with deliveries set to commence before the end of this quarter.
