It can also be used to provide the newly released eCitaro with electricity via a pantograph.

  • Stuttgart, Jul 15, 2019 - Since 1 July 2019, it has been mandatory to install a warning sound generator in electric cars. This is due to a new EU Directive. This stipulates that initially in newly certificated hybrid, electric and fuel cell vehicles - also trucks and buses - the Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) must be installed for the protection of other road users.

  • Stuttgart / Mannheim, Apr 26, 2019 - Operation of three new Mercedes Benz eCitaro buses run by Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (rnv) began today, marking the launch of two electric bus routes in Mannheim. Routes 66 and 67 incorporate the new district of Franklin and the new trading estate Taylor Village in the local public transport network.
