  • Stuttgart/Immendingen, Nov 23, 2015 - Daimler AG has begun using the first section, or module, of its new testing centre at Immendingen, near Tuttlingen, Germany. Playing an integral role in keeping operations going there is the Unimog U 430. The 300 hp model with a power output of 220 kW delivering up to 1200 Nm of torque is tasked with ensuring the test section is constantly accurate.

  • Stuttgart/Rakovnik, Oct 27, 2015 - Following a successful tender, Unimog importer Croy has now handed over a total of 18 Unimog U 427 vehicles from the implement carrier model series to RSD CR in Rakovník, in the Czech Republic. RSD CR is a service provider with branches across the Czech Republic and uses the vehicles for country-wide road maintenance.
  • Stuttgart/Wien, Sep 29, 2015 - The first Euro VI-compliant Mercedes-Benz Econic NGT (Natural Gas Technology) has been delivered to Vienna International Airport. The natural-gas-powered truck will operate as a catering truck equipped with a lifting mechanism manufactured by Doll. Econic’s low cab enables a very low delivery height from catering vehicle to plane, which means that all the more widespread types of aircraft, from the Boeing 737 to the Airbus A 380, can be served.
  • Stuttgart/Wörth, May 22, 2015 - The Unimog for special requirements is now available for public services and disaster relief work: the Unimog U 5023 is the first model from the extreme off-road Unimog model series to be presented with public service equipment. The organisers of the Demopark municipal technology trade fair in Eisenach (21 to 23 June) honored this with a silver medal for outstanding innovations and advancements.

  • Stuttgart/Schloss Elmau (Upper Bavaria), Mar 23, 2015 - Two Mercedes-Benz Unimog BlueTec 6 implement carriers were used to rapidly clear snow from a heliport with a surface area of over 25,000 square metres during a large-scale safety exercise involving 1,500 police and fire service personnel and 150 vehicles in preparation for next June's G7 summit. The long-planned meeting of the heads of government of the world's leading industrial nations, the G7 summit, is to be held at Schloss Elmau, near the Upper Bavarian village of Krün. Work to organise the summit began some time ago in Krün, which has a population of 2,000 and is situated in the upper Isar valley between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald. Preparations are now in full swing.
  • Stuttgart/Pomellen, Jan 15, 2015 - The German Federal Institute for Real Estate ("Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben", or BImA) in Rostock has put its first Unimog of the new BlueTec 6 generation into action to deal with maintenance and repair tasks at the former border crossing of Pomellen. The former checkpoint near Nadrensee on the border with Poland is also a works support base for the BImA.

The 170 kW (230 PS) U 423 has a hydrostatic traction drive, dual-circuit hydraulic system, rear power lift, rear and front power take-off and a rear-view camera.
  • Reykjavik/Stuttgart, Sep 17, 2014 - The proven vehicle concept of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog has been a firm favourite with the electricity industry in many European countries for decades. And now, Reykjavik-based Askja, the Daimler sales intermediary in Iceland, has delivered a Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 4000 to Landsnet. Landsnet is responsible for supplying electricity to the approximately 325,000 inhabitants of Europe's second largest island state on behalf of the National Energy Authority of Iceland.
