Stuttgart/Schloss Elmau (Upper Bavaria), Mar 23, 2015 -
Two Mercedes-Benz Unimog BlueTec 6 implement carriers were used to rapidly clear snow from a heliport with a surface area of over 25,000 square metres during a large-scale safety exercise involving 1,500 police and fire service personnel and 150 vehicles in preparation for next June's G7 summit. The long-planned meeting of the heads of government of the world's leading industrial nations, the G7 summit, is to be held at Schloss Elmau, near the Upper Bavarian village of Krün. Work to organise the summit began some time ago in Krün, which has a population of 2,000 and is situated in the upper Isar valley between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald. Preparations are now in full swing.
