  • Vatican City, Oct 14, 2015 - Pope Francis has blessed the first Mercedes-Benz Vito to be produced in his home country of Argentina. At the ceremony held on 13 October in the Vatican, the head of the Roman Catholic Church also affixed his signature to the white Vito Tourer. Mercedes-Benz Argentina, the national subsidiary of Daimler Group, is donating this very special Vito to Scholas Occurrentes, an aid organisation supported by Pope Francis. The van will be auctioned at a later date. The proceeds will benefit sports, art and technology projects of the organisation.

The vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Vans sets new standards in the mid-size van segment. Network Rail is the operator of Britain’s rail infrastructure and owns the physical assets of the former nationalised British Rail. Those assets include track and signalling, tunnels, bridges and level crossings as well as the management of 17 key UK railway stations.

These models excel with their new design, economy and customer- oriented practicality. There is a choice of two 4-cylinder CDI diesel engines developing 70 kW (95 hp) and 100 kW (136 hp).
