Thuringian Philharmonic Orchestra takes to the road in Setra TopClass 500
- Bus operator "Wollschläger & Partner" from Laucha takes delivery of S 516 HDH
- East German firm's fleet of Setra touring coaches now comprises seven vehicles
- Three-axle bus equipped with large panoramic glass sunroof and galley
Wollschläger & Partner GmbH from Laucha in Thuringia has added an S 516 HDH to its all-Setra fleet of touring coaches, now bringing the total to seven. The new Setra TopClass 500 is the pride and joy of managing director Jana Glaser: "This bus enables us to clearly set ourselves apart from the competition. It allows us to offer our highly discerning customers some exclusive interior touches that make for a travel experience unequalled by any other vehicle." Alongside some famous Thuringian companies, the firm's customers also include the basketball players from Oettinger Rockets Gotha, the footballers from FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt and the musicians from the Thuringian Philharmonic Orchestra, who, in addition to wishing to travel to their concerts in relaxed surroundings, also require plenty of room for their instruments.
And the S 516 HDH has room aplenty. "The capacious 11.4 m3 luggage compartment was a key purchase criterion," says Jana Glaser, who has remained faithful to the Ulm-based bus brand since 2006: "With Setra, we've felt for many years now that we're in the best of hands, from the initial sales consultation through to the spare-parts service."
Passengers in touch with home thanks to in-bus WiFi system
Equipped with the latest safety assistance systems, such as Lane Assistant and Emergency Brake Assist, the three-axle bus also features a first-class interior with a host of elegant fittings and appointments. These include 50 comfortable seats with leather top parts as well as a large Setra TopSky panoramic glass sunroof, which offers passengers a unique view of the passing countryside. Additional convenience is afforded by comfortable footrests, ample legroom and a functional galley. Added to all of this is a very special item of equipment exclusive to Wollschläger. Jana Glaser: "An in-bus WiFi system keeps our passengers in touch with home. The on-board audio and video system in the S 516 HDH also enables them at all times to keep abreast of the latest news – wherever they happen to be in Europe."
