Support from milon for Mercedes-AMG DTM Team’s fitness training programme
- German market leader for electronically managed circuit training signs partnership deal with Mercedes-AMG DTM Team
- Mercedes-AMG DTM drivers work out on the milon Strength Circuit
Fit for the new DTM season – the team members and drivers of Mercedes-AMG DTM Team are using the new milon Strength Circuit to prepare for the racing engagements that lie ahead. The German market leader for electronically managed circuit training has just become an official team partner.
Under the terms of the agreement which extends over several seasons, milon is equipping the HWA gym in Affalterbach with a milon Strength Circuit. The system consists of eight electronically controlled hi‑tech machines and the proprietary ‘milonizer’, a biometric identification system for instantly adjusting the equipment to the user’s individual settings. Before commencing a training session, the team members insert their chip card to log into the device which immediately and automatically adjusts to that person’s anatomy and training programme. Training on the milon Strength Circuit is straightforward, safe and effective, as it allows for varying loads in the individual phases of movement (concentric, eccentric) as well as adaptive and isokinetic training. Training can also be planned, documented and analysed accurately by means of milon CARE, a cloud-based software solution.
Headquartered near Augsburg, milon has been a driving force behind the fitness equipment industry for many years now. The electronically controlled circuits are used worldwide in professional fitness and health facilities as well as in rehabilitation centres and hospitals.
Udo Münster, CEO of milon industries GmbH: “Everyone at milon is excited about the new partnership. The Mercedes-AMG DTM Team stands for passion in performance and the ultimate in technical precision – two qualities that also characterise our company. This partnership will illustrate even more clearly how important good training is in striving for maximum performance.”
Ulrich Fritz, Head of Mercedes-AMG DTM: “The DTM is a high-performance competition. Driver and crew must be in top shape to cope with the demands of a race weekend. For the engineers and technicians too, fitness training complements the work they do. The new milon Strength Circuit will make an important contribution in this regard. Our fitness instructors especially appreciate the unique analysis capabilities which enable them to more professionally organise the programme for drivers and team members.”
