  • Stuttgart/Bad Belzig, Nov 12, 2015 - Minibuses have long been the ideal addition to many transport companies' fleets. In areas where economic factors rule out the operation of large buses in scheduled services, minibuses can often provide a profitable alternative. Ideal size – economically viable operation: a concept that also applies to the revised scheduled service concept of Verkehrsgesellschaft Belzig mbh (VGB) within the district capital and spa town of Bad Belzig. On 12 November 2015, the transport company, represented by Hans-Jürgen Hennig, CEO of VGB, commissioned two new Sprinter City 77 to add to its fleet.

Roland Sabais, Head of Sales at Mercedes-Benz Buses and Coaches Western Region, Oliver Schlamp sales department at Mercedes-Benz Buses, Western Region and Mark Freymüller, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Minibuses, handed over the symbolic key to Christian Winzenhöler, General Manager of the bus operator Winzenhöler.

In recognition of this fact, the town of Meschede in the Sauerland founded its own community bus association, Bürgerbus Meschede e.V., on 19 September 2011.

  • Stuttgart/Hannover, Aug 12, 2010 - The new developments for Mercedes-Benz buses and coaches will focus on enhancing environmental friendliness, efficiency, and passenger safety. Five travel coaches and transit buses will be presented at the 63rd IAA in Hall 14/15. Among them will be the innovative, zero-emission Citaro FuelCELL Hybrid. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter City 77 for urban use will be making its debut at the auto show.

  • Stuttgart/Berlin, Apr 28, 2010 - Now it is no longer necessary to wait until dark in Berlin to watch for “shooting stars”, because there are 27 Mercedes-Benz urban minibuses to be seen around town. The official handover of these vehicles to the Berlin taxi drivers’ guild was recently held at the German Automobile Club (ADAC) safety centre in Linthe.

  • Stuttgart, Aug 14, 2008 - The new generation of Mercedes-Benz minibuses based on the Sprinter platform premiered at the International Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover two years ago. Since then, the new range has become firmly established. And it has been extended to include further models: with a choice of Sprinter Transfer, Sprinter Travel, Sprinter City or Sprinter Mobility, the range now comprises a total of twelve base models with numerous variants.
