Positioning

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon is the brand’s best-selling model. Its balanced proportions are characterised by a long bonnet, a greenhouse set well to the rear and short overhangs. The new generation combines emotive appeal with intelligence. The focus of the facelift is particularly on the front section and the design of the headlamps and tail lights. True to form, it comes in a wide range of engine and equipment variants, right up to AMG versions. The sporty interior exudes class, featuring flowing forms in a new interpretation of modern luxury. A locally produced variant with a longer wheelbase is available in China.

Highlights

  • New 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines with a 48 V on-board network (EQ Boost) unique in this segment for sporty driving pleasure and high efficiency
  • Diesel engines changed over to the current OM 654 series, completely new 1.6-litre variant in the C 180 d and C 200 d
  • Suspension offers an individual choice of driving experience, with new DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL suspension featuring damping characteristics variable in three stages and direct sport steering, or AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension.
  • New in the interior: digital cockpit (31.2 cm/12.3 inches), larger media display (26 cm/10.25 inches), new multifunction steering wheel with touch control buttons. Many opportunities for individualisation, e.g. through new open-pore trim elements. Lounge atmosphere thanks to ambient lighting now with 64 colours and ENERGIZING comfort control to enhance well-being and fitness
  • MULTIBEAM LED headlamps with ULTRA RANGE high beam available in this model series for the first time.
  • New Multicontour Seat package for the front seats. With this package, the side bolsters and lumbar support can be individually adjusted by means of an electrically driven pneumatic pump, and the massage function is also new.
