- Stuttgart / East Kilbride bei Glasgow, Dec 18, 2020 - A displacement of 15.6 litres, a six-cylinder in-line engine with 425 kW (580 hp), four axles of which two are driven – those are the key statistics for the Arocs 3258 8x4 which is now being used in the fight against sewage system dirt in Scotland. A steered rear axle makes the four-axle truck as agile as a three-axle vehicle so that it can reach its destination even on winding roads.

- Stuttgart / Gundelfingen, Dec 16, 2020 - Heavy duty tractor units like the Mercedes-Benz Actros SLT are often involved when oversize, heavy duty components or machinery are transported. The Actros SLT is now celebrating a milestone: the 500th Mercedes-Benz SLT towing vehicle based on the current Actros has been handed over to TSB Transport-Service Beitinger in Swabia's Gundelfingen.

- Stuttgart / Hamburg, Dec 15, 2020 - The battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros is starting another customer trial: with Netto Marken-Discount in the greater Hamburg area. The food discounter is testing the heavy-duty electric truck to supply its Hamburg supermarkets with, for example, fruit, vegetables, dairy products and dry goods.

- Stuttgart, Nov 30, 2020 - The most innovative trucks for the electric future bear the three-pointed star – that’s the verdict of the renowned International Truck of the Year (IToY) jury, which awarded its prestigious 2021 Truck Innovation Award to two trucks from Mercedes-Benz: the battery-electric eActros and the fuel-cell concept Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck.

- Stuttgart / Karlsruhe, Nov 19, 2020 - Another practical test of the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros is starting at the company Inapa Deutschland in Ettlingen. This leading paper wholesaler is to use the heavy-duty electric truck for the distribution of paper packed on pallets to printers in the Karlsruhe area.

- Stuttgart, Nov 5, 2020 - The huge tyres of the Unimog U 5023 seem formidable when compared to the narrow tyres of the Mercedes Simplex from 1902. That's no surprise: last year the U 5023 had to overcome extremely steep climbs to break the world record for driving at high altitudes in Chile and it had to deal with sharp-edged rocks too.

- Stuttgart / Waldenbuch, Oct 22, 2020 - The battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros truck is now in use for the chocolate manufacturer Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG. The family-owned company, which specializes in square chocolate bars and is based in Waldenbuch near Stuttgart, is testing the eActros for production supply on the route between the Dettenhausen warehouse and the production site in Waldenbuch.

- Stuttgart, Sep 23, 2020 - When it comes to increasing vehicle safety, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has always been a pioneer in the industry. The company has invested hundreds of millions of euros per year in research and development, for assistance systems to provide even greater assistance to drivers in their work and increase safety for all road users.

- Stuttgart, Sep 23, 2020 - Construction calls for a hands-on approach. It's a tough job that requires hardy workers. The new Mercedes-Benz Arocs has all the qualities required to be the perfect partner for construction-related transport: powerful engines, varied drive configurations and a robust chassis for the sustainable development of industry-appropriate vehicle bodies.

- Stuttgart / Berlin, Sep 16, 2020 - Truck manufacturer Daimler Trucks today presented its technology strategy for the electrification of its vehicles, ranging from urban distribution to international long-haul transport, thus reaffirming its commitment to the goals of the Paris Climate Protection Convention.

- Stuttgart / Kawasaki, Japan / Portland, USA, Sep 10, 2020 - Daimler Trucks & Buses is celebrating another milestone on the road to the electrification of its vehicle portfolio: Customers worldwide have already covered more than seven million kilometers with battery-powered, locally CO2-neutral trucks and buses.

- Stuttgart / Singapore, Aug 26, 2020 - The words "Don't trash it, repurpose it" can be read on the new Mercedes-Benz Econic waste collection vehicles in Singapore. Don't trash it – repurpose it: in Singapore, not only waste avoidance, but recycling is also an important strategy for keeping the megacity clean.

- Stuttgart, Aug 20, 2020 - No matter whether someone is in a car, on a bike or on foot, to name just three examples – if there is an accident involving a truck, the collision can quickly end with serious or even fatal injuries for the "weaker" party, as they have no chance against the much "stronger" truck due to the huge difference in mass.

- Stuttgart / Leicestershire, Aug 13, 2020 - Luke Finney from Leicestershire owns several horses and, since recently also a Mercedes-Benz Unimog workhorse. “If I’d known the Unimog was this good I would have bought one years ago. Having experienced the vehicle’s amazing range of abilities, I can’t understand why anyone in my line of work would choose anything else,” says the convinced Briton.

- Wörth am Rhein, Aug 7, 2020 - Dirk Stranz is very matter-of-fact when it comes to trucks. "We build the vehicles that transport goods – and they have to be able to do that both safely and efficiently," says the test engineer from Mercedes-Benz Trucks as he walks down the staircase from his office in the Wörth development and testing centre into the foyer.

- Stuttgart / Rotterdam, Netherlands, Aug 6, 2020 - The starting signal for the second test phase of the Mercedes-Benz eActros “innovation fleet”: After about a year of intensive practical use by ten customers in Germany and Switzerland, eight of the purely battery-powered trucks are now successively going to new customers in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
