  • The Mercedes-Benz AG’s Thuringian subsidiaries in Kölleda and Arnstadt are important parts of Mercedes-Benz’s global powertrain production network.
  • The engine plant of MDC Power GmbH in Kölleda has assembled four-cylinder petrol and four/six-cylinder diesel engines for Mercedes-Benz vehicles since 2003.
  • The component plant MDC Technology GmbH in Arnstadt processes crankcases for Mercedes-Benz engines with the NANOSLIDE® process. In this process the cylinder liners are coated and finely honed. Processing the crankcases helps reduce weight and fuel consumption, and makes a major contribution to CO2 reduction.
