  • Stuttgart, Oct 23, 2015 - Change of leadership after almost 10 successful years: With effect from 1 December, Michael Bock, Director of Mercedes-Benz Classic and Customer Centre, will take over the management of Sport and Lifestyle Marketing at Mercedes-Benz. Bock will be succeeded by Christian Boucke, the previous Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH.

  • Stuttgart, Jul 29, 2015 - With the title "Fascination of Mercedes-Benz Classic", the new wall calendar from Mercedes-Benz Classic presents outstanding vehicles from the history of the Mercedes star. The calendar measuring 69 x 49 centimetres costs € 29.90. It can be ordered online from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Store with immediate effect. Delivery will take place at the end of October.

Experts and the public were equally enthralled by the Gullwing Coupé, an evolution of the 300 SL race car (W 194), and the Roadster, built on technology supplied by model 180 (W 120).

The anniversary stretches back to the first car race in history, staged on a route from Paris to Rouen in the year 1894.   • Stuttgart, Oct 16, 2013 - "Shooting Stars! – Photography from Fans, for Fans" – the title of this year's Mercedes-Benz Classic Calendar 2014 says it all. Friends of the brand with the star were invited to enter a photography competition by uploading their images to the Mercedes-Benz Museum page on Facebook and voting on other submissions. An expert panel of judges made the final selection. The calendar is available in the Mercedes-Benz Museum shop and online.

Born in Stuttgart, Herrmann gained international recognition during his time as a works driver for Mercedes-Benz in the years 1954 and 1955. The cars he drove for the brand back then were the post-war “Silver Arrows”, the W 196 R Grand Prix racing car and the 300 SLR (W 196 S) racing sports car.

  • Stuttgart , Nov 2, 2012 - American racing driver John Cooper Fitch has died at the age of 95. Fitch passed away on 31 October 2012 at his home near Lime Rock Park, Connecticut/USA. Mercedes-Benz here pays its respects to his life – a life spent devoted to the automobile and to motorsport. The immediate points of contact between Fitch and Mercedes-Benz over the course of his career were comparatively brief – but highly significant.

  • Stuttgart, Oct 19, 2012 - The Corporate Chronicle of Daimler AG is to receive a further award: at the award ceremony for the German Design Award 2013, due to take place on 15 February 2013 in the German city of Frankfurt am Main, this definitive work will be honoured with a “Special Mention for outstanding quality of design”. A jury made up of 30 design experts evaluated some 1500 submissions before determining who should win this coveted prize.
