  • Stuttgart, Feb 26, 2021 - 2021 is a very special year at Daimler Trucks and Buses – there are four anniversaries to celebrate: in 1896 Gottlieb Daimler presented the first truck and in 1951 Otto Kässbohrer followed with the first bus to feature a self-supporting structure – the Setra. Five years before that the first prototype of the Unimog scrambled across difficult terrain.

  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm , Feb 13, 2013 - Fifty years after production stopped, at this year's Retro Classics (7 - 10 March 2013) Setra will be shining the spotlight on a coach model which featured largely in the success story of the long-standing brand from Ulm: the Setra S 6. A total of five examples of the S6, the compact coach with the world's first self-supporting frame, will be on show in Hall 8 of the Stuttgart Trade Fair. In addition to buses belonging to the firms Rast-Reisen, Schranner, Kronberger and Fischer, Daimler's Ulm-based bus brand will also be exhibiting an S 6 from the Setra classic collection in Neu-Ulm.
  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm, Mar 1, 2011 - The Setra brand is celebrating a double anniversary in 2011. The first Setra S 8 was launched to bus operators 60 years ago this year, while the company that originally created the brand, Kässbohrer, introduced its first bus, built on a Saurer chassis, exactly 100 years ago.
  • Stuttgart/Neu-Ulm, Jan 31, 2011 - Setra Buses, Daimler AG's Ulm-based bus brand, will be celebrating the brand's 60th anniversary and the beginning of bus production in Ulm 100 years ago when it appears at Retro Classics 2011 in Stuttgart (11 – 13 March), presenting four historical buses in hall 8 (commercial vehicles).
