- Stuttgart/Chennai, May 27, 2015 - Less than three years after the market launch of the BharatBenz brand, Daimler's commercial vehicles division in India is already heralding its next phase of growth. Today, Daimler Trucks and Buses is opening a new bus plant at its Chennai production facility in the south east of the country. The company also revealed its new buses and a heavy-duty truck to customers, business partners and representatives of the media.

- Stuttgart/Hannover, Apr 8, 2015 - Investment in the hundreds of millions, a truck brand created especially for India and about 3,000 employees in Chennai: Daimler's commercial vehicles business is closely linked to the partner country for this year's Hannover Messe. That is why Daimler is demonstrating its extensive involvement in the sub-continent with a stand at the world's leading industrial show in halls 6 and 16, on April 13 -17, 2015.

- Stuttgart/Chennai, Apr 10, 2014 - Around one month after laying the foundation stone for a bus plant, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) announces more good news: The wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG has crossed the threshold of 10,000 sold BharatBenz trucks since market launch in September 2012.

- Mumbai/Stuttgart, Jan 31, 2014 - Daimler Trucks keeps advancing its activities on the Indian market. Merely two weeks after Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) was named “CV maker of the year” in India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler presented four new truck models of its BharatBenz brand at an event in Mumbai today.

- Stuttgart/Chennai (India), Sep 26, 2013 - A great deal achieved, and more to come. Precisely one year after launching the first BharatBenz trucks on the Indian market, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), takes first, positive stock of its activities. On September 26, 2012, the wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG started sales of BharatBenz, a truck brand especially designed for India, with three heavy-duty trucks.

- Stuttgart/Chennai, India, Jul 16, 2013 - Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a 100% subsidiary of Daimler AG, is celebrating its first production anniversary: The 5,000th truck of the BharatBenz brand has rolled off the assembly line in Chennai. The anniversary truck is a heavy-duty BharatBenz 2523C construction truck with 25 tons gross vehicle weight and an output of 230 hp. DICV launched the series production of BharatBenz trucks with this model in June 2012.

- Stuttgart / Chennai, India, Feb 15, 2013 - Three months after the launch of the first BharatBenz trucks for the Indian market, Daimler subsidiary, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), is taking stock. From the start of sales on September 26, 2012 until the year-end, DICV sold 1,098 heavy-duty trucks between 25 and 31 tons.

- Stuttgart / Chennai, India, Oct 15, 2012 - Following the market launch of its heavy-duty trucks two weeks ago, the Daimler Trucks subsidiary Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has now reached another milestone by starting production of its medium-duty trucks (9 and 12 tons). The BharatBenz vehicles are manufactured at the Chennai production facility in Southern India, which was inaugurated in April of this year.

- Stuttgart / Mumbai, Indien, Sep 26, 2012 - Crucial day for the latest brand of Daimler’s commercial vehicles division: In full view of journalists, dealers, and financing partners, three heavy-duty BharatBenz trucks rolled on stage on the occasion of a ceremony held today in the Indian city of Mumbai. The trucks mark the launch of sales and delivery of BharatBenz vehicles in India. As part of the market launch, the first authorized dealerships have also commenced operations. By the end of this year, sales and service points will represent the brand at all key transport routes and trucking hubs across the country.

- Stuttgart/Hannover, Sep 18, 2012 - At this year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hanover, Daimler AG is presenting virtually the entire spectrum of its commercial vehicle brands over an exhibition area of roughly 16,000 m². More than 70 trucks, vans and buses will astonish visitors in Hall 14/15 with a whole range of innovative technologies coupled with outstanding economy and environmental friendliness.

- Stuttgart / Chennai, India, Jun 21, 2012 - Daimler AG has set a further milestone in its efforts to open up the Indian truck market. As planned, the Group’s subsidiary Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) today commenced series production of BharatBenz trucks. Between now and 2014, the brand that was specifically created for the Indian market will launch a total of 17 models, covering the entire weight segment from six to 49 tons GVW.

- Stuttgart / Chennai, India, Apr 18, 2012 - Following its construction in a record time of about 24 months, the new state-of-the-art production plant of the wholly owned Daimler subsidiary, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., has been completed in Oragadam-Chennai. In presence of members of the Daimler AG board of management and J Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister of the state Tamil Nadu in South India, DICV inaugurated the around 160-hectare manufacturing site along with the integrated research and development center and the state-of-the-art test track at a festive ceremony held today.

- Stuttgart, Mar 2, 2012 - Daimler had already granted a glimpse of the new BharatBenz heavy-duty truck at the sneak preview event held in New Delhi in January. Today, Daimler’s Indian subsidiary Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) is being joined by future customers, dealers, and media representatives to celebrate the beginning of a special six-day premiere in India’s fifth-largest city, Hyderabad.

- Neu-Delhi, Jan 4, 2012 - At a sneak preview for selected Indian journalists, Daimler Truck’s subsidiary Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) revealed the new BharatBenz brand heavy-duty truck today. With its first-ever truck “Made in India”, BharatBenz will enter the promising Indian market for medium heavy-duty and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. India has become the world’s third-largest truck market in recent years, boasting a volume far above 300,000 units in 2011.

- Chennai/Indien, Feb 17, 2011 - Daimler, the world’s largest manufacturer of Medium- and Heavy-duty trucks above 6 tonnes, today unveiled its exclusive new brand of trucks for the Indian market. The brand, BharatBenz, will offer Indian customers an entire range of trucks from 6 to 49 tons across various applications.
