  • Wörth am Rhein, Nov 27, 2015 - The success story of the Mercedes-Benz Actros and "Quality made in Wörth" continues. Today (Friday), Dr. Holger Scherr, Head of Supply Chain & Supplier Management at the Mercedes-Benz Wörth plant, handed over the 100,000th new Actros produced in Wörth to Tobias Nagel, a partner in the Nagel Group. The milestone vehicle is a light-blue Actros 1843 LS and will be used on the roads of Germany and other European countries by Kraftverkehr Nagel GmbH & Co. KG.

  • Stuttgart, Mar 16, 2015 - From 16 to 20 March at CeBIT in Hanover, the world's largest trade fair for information technology, Daimler Trucks will for the first time present “Ergonomics Simulation in Trucks” as part of the ARVIDA project (Applied Reference Architecture for Virtual Services and Applications). The goal is to address the ergonomic needs of the truck driver at an early stage in the development process of a truck cab. The cab of a truck such as the Mercedes-Benz Actros is a place where the driver works, lives and sleeps.

  • Stuttgart/Frankfurt, Jan 30, 2015 - Today sees the start of Daimler AG's second aid flight to Erbil in northern Iraq, organised in cooperation with “Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e.V.” (Wings of Help) based in Frankfurt am Main. The initiative is the result of the latest Daimler fundraising campaign for Syrian refugees which took place at the end of 2014 and exceeded all expectations by raising a total of around 250,000 euros.

The FleetBoard system, an in-house development from Mercedes-Benz, will be available in all new Actros trucks throughout Europe at no extra charge for the hardware. The system will also function effectively in mixed fleets comprising various brands of vehicle.
