S 515 HD receives "Green Coach Award 2013"
An S 515 HD also received the "Green Coach Award 2013" in Kortrijk. The prize has been awarded since 2011 to a touring coach one year and an urban bus the next year by the specialist publications "Omnibusrevue" and "Busfahrer". This year the trophy has been awarded for the second time in three years to the Ulm-based brand forming part of Daimler AG in Stuttgart.
The two-axle coaches of a variety of manufacturers were tested on a very demanding 600 km route through Germany's Saxon Switzerland region. The focus of the environmental assessments lay squarely on consumption. The S 515 HD achieved the best results, thus enabling it to now bear the title of "Green Coach 2013".
The premium coaches of the Setra ComfortClass 500 impress with features which include aerodynamically optimised lines, environmentally friendly "Blue Efficiency Power" Euro 6 engine generation and also intelligent consumption and energy management, and already demonstrated maximum energy efficiency in a spectacular Record Run event which took place in autumn last year.

After a week-long test, the panel of experts from European Coach & Bus Week (EWC) also paid tribute to the ecology and safety of the new Setra three-axle vehicles. The elegant and dynamic touring coaches in the Setra TopClass 500 range stand for a new travelling experience that combines luxury and functionality at the highest level. These exclusive, top-class long-distance coaches shed new light on the aspects of design, quality and safety, and as the star attractions in any coach fleet combine highlights from the world of interior design with the outstanding economic attributes of the ComfortClass 500.
