The plant produces four different model series, the Travego, Tourismo, Intouro and Conecto. The focus on top quality is striking: it is paramount in every step of the operation, from the welding robots and the detailed inspections to the extensive tests after finishing assembly.

  • Stuttgart/Kortrijk, Sep 4, 2013 - The Busworld show is both an end and a beginning for Daimler Buses with its Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands: it concludes the early changeover of the buses and coaches to the coming Euro VI emission standards. A changeover that goes hand in hand with a completely new engine generation. In the process ancillary units were optimised for lower fuel consumption, the skeleton and components were developed further to reduce weight, entire model series were newly developed and a new layout was devised for the rear end and the engine compartment.

The line-up features four model series: Sprinter Transfer, Sprinter Travel, Sprinter City and Sprinter Mobility with a total of 14 basic models. The minibuses developed for use in urban, rural and touring-coach service as well as for services for passengers with restricted mobility are based on the current generation Sprinter. Mercedes-Benz Minibus GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of EvoBus GmbH, produces the Mercedes minibuses in Dortmund.
