  • Stuttgart, Aug 24, 2012 - The Mercedes-Benz Atego BlueTec Hybrid, the first hybrid drive truck to be mass-produced in Europe, has been delivered to more than 110 customers since its launch in 2010 and proves its suitability for everyday use on a daily basis. Designed principally for urban or regional short-radius distribution, it particularly shows its worth in short-distance goods delivery.The Atego Hybrid is the best-selling hybrid truck in Europe.
  • Stuttgart/Wörth/Bonn, Dec 9, 2011 - Daimler AG handed over ten Mercedes-Benz Atego BlueTec Hybrid vehicles to DP Fleet GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL, at the manufacturer's Wörth plant today. The vehicles will be deployed throughout Germany in the mail and freight segments. The trucks assigned to DHL's freight operations will operate in Wustermark and Hamburg, while the five Atego Hybrids to be used by the company's mail division will go into service in Hennigsdorf, Dortmund, Cologne-Gremberghoven, Gersthofen and Kolbermoor.
  • Düsseldorf/Stuttgart, Nov 27, 2010 - Yesterday, Daimler CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche was presented with the German Sustainability Award 2010 by European Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger. The award’s conceptual sponsor is the German Sustainability Award Foundation in Düsseldorf.
  • Stuttgart/Hanover, Sep 22, 2010 - On the occasion of the International Motor Show (IAA) Commercial Vehicles in Hanover a jury of international experts voted the new Mercedes-Benz Atego 12-tonner "Truck of the Year 2011". The commercial vehicle journalists from 23 European countries paid tribute to the innovative technology of the Mercedes-Benz Atego: on the one hand, the new Atego, as highly variable all-round talent ideal for short-radius distribution work; on the other hand, the series-built Atego 1222 L EEV BlueTec Hybrid, seen by the jury as paving the way for alternative drive systems.
