The third generation of this vehicle family has been further improved with 37 individual measures relating to economy, comfort, safety and design. As a first in this market segment, the fully automated Mercedes PowerShift transmission is now standard equipment. This further underlines the leadership claim of the Actros, which has become the industry trendsetter since its launch in 1996 and is now the most successful heavy truck model with sales of 550,000 vehicles in more than 100 countries.

  • Munich, Oct 10, 2007 - Vehicles used in airport operations must fulfil a wide variety of tasks. Before an aircraft’s departure they must supply it with water, fuel and food, and after arrival they have to remove the corresponding liquids. In the winter, they have to be able to clear snow-covered runways within minutes, and de-ice aircraft.

  • Hanover, Sep 11, 2007 - From September 10 to 16, the DaimlerChrysler sales organisation for Germany and the Application Information Centre (BIC) in Wörth are organising a customer event of a very special kind in Hanover: "Truck Pur". More than 170 trucks with bodies and implements of all kinds will be on hand to view and try out. More than 600 customers per day are expected to attend.
