Exclusive topics for journalists at the IAA show: Mercedes-Benz is expanding its global communications offering
Stuttgart. Mercedes-Benz is expanding its digital communications offering for journalists. At @MB_Press on Twitter, the company will communicate exclusive content and exciting background information. The channel also provides information that cannot be found in press releases.
Mercedes-Benz is also using the new channel for advance and live communication covering the 2019 International Motor Show (IAA). The aim is to provide followers with content teasers on the key topics of the show. The Tweets relating to the IAA will for example cover sustainable solutions for the future of mobility, and provide an outlook on numerous world premieres and the different event formats.
@MB_Press also serves as an extension of all the content in Mercedes me media. This live platform has been the digital accompaniment to all press events by Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans since its launch for the 2017 IAA show: World premieres, shows, press driving events, TecDays and other events are transmitted as a live stream. In addition, Mercedes me media provides further text, photo and video material. In 2018 the Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans communication team extended the web presence with a smartphone app: the Mercedes me media app keeps guests attending events constantly up to date about the programme and what is happening – as it will at the 2019 IAA show.
