Free admission on Pentecost Sunday: The Mercedes-Benz Museum is celebrating its birthday
On 20 May 2018, Pentecost Sunday, the Mercedes-Benz Museum is celebrating its 12th birthday with free admission, free guided tours, hands-on activities for children and much more. Children get the opportunity to become graffiti artists for a day when they spray paint a smart on the open-air stage. Motorsport fans can qualify for the international “Mercedes-AMG Motorsport eRacing Competition” by driving in a virtual race.
Stuttgart. The Mercedes-Benz Museum has been a huge public attraction over the past twelve years. Visitor numbers continue to rise, last year there were 876,109 visitors. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is inviting guests to an open day to celebrate: on Pentecost Sunday, 20 May 2018, it will be free to visit the museum and there will be guided tours free of charge.
Led by the art academy “Kunstschule Unteres Remstal”, children aged eight and above are invited to spray paint a smart on the open-air stage. The young spray-paint artists design the stencils themselves for the graffiti. Younger children aged five and above can transfer their stencil motifs onto paper and walls using various colouring techniques. Registration for all childrens’ events takes place on 20 May in the Genius Campus on the Ground Floor.
In line with the slogan “30 Years of DTM”, fans have until 24 June to qualify for the international “Mercedes-AMG Motorsport eRacing Competition” in the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Motorsport fans can start the virtual race on four racing seats. The fastest person will then go up against the eleven best drivers at the grand eRacing finale in October at the Hockenheimring.
