His duties will be taken over by Björn Scheib, as head of Investor Relations, and Kurt Schäfer, who will be in charge of Global Treasury.

In this position, he will be the successor as of October 1, 2013 to Ola Källenius, who will become the new Head of Sales & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars as of the same date.

  • Stuttgart, Jun 5, 2013 - Anders-Sundt Jensen (51) is to become the new Head of Global Sales Development (GSD) at Daimler AG. He will succeed to Roman Fischer (58), who is to take early retirement at his own request. Jensen will be succeeded as Head of Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars (BC) as of August 1, 2013 by Dr. Jens Thiemer (41). Both persons will continue to report to Dr. Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President Mercedes-Benz Cars, Sales and Marketing.

  • Stuttgart, Feb 24, 2011 - Daimler plans to recruit more than 10,000 people worldwide in 2011, thereof 4,000 in Germany alone. 6,700 skilled workers and approximately 700 graduates will be recruited directly all over the world. The Group is also focusing on gaining talent for the future: As well as taking on approximately 1,900 apprentices, Daimler is also offering positions for 600 trainees in its CAReer trainee program and for more than 200 students at the ‘Duale Hochschule’. Most of those positions will be offered in Germany.

Trettin has been in charge of the Mercedes-Benz Sales Organization Germany (MBVD) since 2007. In his new position, he will succeed to Dr. Joachim Schmidt (61), who will become Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales and Marketing, including responsibility for the sales companies around the world, as of October 1, 2009.

  • Stuttgart, Mar 16, 2009 - The Board of Management of Daimler AG has made the following personnel decisions: Effective June 1, 2009, Martin Daum (49) will become head of Daimler Trucks North America. Martin Daum will replace Chris Patterson, who will reach the age of 55 this year and has chosen to retire after 32 years of service to the North American commercial vehicle industry, 11 of them with Daimler Trucks North America. Daum is currently Head of Operations at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Woerth (Germany).
