  • Stuttgart, May 22, 2015 - The global employee representation of Daimler AG is becoming even more international. The World Employee Committee (WEC) will have 23 members from 15 countries in the future. The Group's Management and the employee representatives have signed a corresponding agreement. Previously, the WEC represented Daimler employees from six countries with 13 members.

  • Stuttgart, May 13, 2015 - Change of leadership at Mercedes-Benz in Turkey: after 18 highly successful years at Daimler AG, Rainer Genes (53), currently President & CEO Mercedes-Benz Türk, has decided to embark on a new career in the consumer goods industry. Effective August 1, 2015, he will be succeeded as CEO Mercedes-Benz Türk by Britta Seeger (45); this especially includes overall responsibility for all truck and bus activities as well as acting as the Daimler Group's representative in Turkey. Britta Seeger is currently President & CEO Mercedes-Benz Korea Ltd.

In this position, he will consult and support the company’s strategic development and will continue to represent Daimler on the political level as well as in industry associations in Japan. Working in the company since 1984, Dr. Kirchmann has held various leadership positions in the areas of planning, controlling, and strategy over many years.

  • Stuttgart, Germany, Dec 16, 2014 - Michael Bettag (born on December 21, 1961) has been appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG representing the employees with effect as of January 1, 2015. The Stuttgart District Court (Registration Court) has accepted a request submitted by Daimler in this matter. Michael Bettag has been in the Works Council since 2002, and he has been Chairman of the Works Council of the sales and service outlet in Nürnberg since 2004.

  • Stuttgart, Feb 24, 2011 - Daimler plans to recruit more than 10,000 people worldwide in 2011, thereof 4,000 in Germany alone. 6,700 skilled workers and approximately 700 graduates will be recruited directly all over the world. The Group is also focusing on gaining talent for the future: As well as taking on approximately 1,900 apprentices, Daimler is also offering positions for 600 trainees in its CAReer trainee program and for more than 200 students at the ‘Duale Hochschule’. Most of those positions will be offered in Germany.

Martin Daum will replace Chris Patterson, who will reach the age of 55 this year and has chosen to retire after 32 years of service to the North American commercial vehicle industry, 11 of them with Daimler Trucks North America. Daum is currently Head of Operations at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Woerth (Germany).
