Innovation, Technology, Mobility: These are the structural pillars of the Daimler magazine TECHNICITY. On this basis we have relaunched a completely revamped new online presentation of TECHNICITY. The conceptual, graphic and technical realisation gives the website, which has been developed to cater for absolutely every user device, a modern and dynamic character. The flexible content structure has an integrated multifilter which presents the "content stream" on a topic-specific basis.
Google I/O is an annual developer conference featuring highly technical, in-depth sessions, and showcasing the latest from Google’s product teams and partners. This year's conference, which has taken place annually since 2008, will showcase Mercedes-Benz and its latest integration of Google services in the car.
Where will the increasing connectivity of the automobile lead on to? Will there still be traffic accidents in the future? And will the car possibly even take the wheel? These and other exciting questions Dr. Dieter Zetsche, CEO of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, is asked at the re:publica, one of the biggest conferences of the European digital society. Among others, topics such as communication between vehicles or autonomous driving are in the center of the discussion. In addition, new mobility services like car2go and moovel are looked at from various angles.
Under the slogan “Future needs Utopia” experts from Daimler discuss at the Future Talk in Berlin visionary ideas with external specialists from different fields. Among them are Philipp Hübl, Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Stuttgart, Tobias Wallisser, Professor of Architecture and Innovative Construction and Spatial Concepts at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and co-founder of the Laboratory of Visionary Architecture and Martina Mara from the Ars Electronica Futurelab in Linz, Austria.
Daimler will continue to rely on sustainable actions and in its “Mercedes-Benz 2020" growth strategy takes ecological as well as social aspects into account with the goal of long-term, sustainable growth. As part of the annual "Daimler Sustainability Dialogues” the company also draws upon the know-how of external experts.
