Download Center
General Information
You can collect, save and download text, images and other information in the Download Center. Text is transmitted in doc or rtf format, though all conventional text programs can convert into formatted text. Photos are saved in jpeg format. You can print photos as large as A4 format, the size of European letterhead paper. Other materials such as Special Reports are in pdf format, which require Acrobat Reader (see "Tools")
How It Works
-
Lists: Mark the check boxes corresponding to the content from the Media site that you wish to download. Check boxes are located at the left of the respective headlines and photos.
-
To move content to your Download Center, select the option “Add to Download Center” in the pull-down menu above or below the list. All the items you checked will be transferred to your personal Download Center.
-
Within individual press texts or kits, you can add content to your personal Download Center using the pull-down menu below the press text or in the “Actions” box in the right-hand column.
-
|
You can view the contents at any time by clicking “Open” in the “Personal Services” “Your Download Center” box in the right-hand margin. This access to the Download Center appears in this position on all pages of the media site. All items in the Download Center are listed by categories--texts, images, audio files and other types of media. Each can be reviewed separately. |
-
Deleting items: Check the boxes corresponding to the items you want to delete; here, too, select the option "Delete selected items" in the pull-down menus above or below the list.
-
Download techniques: All files are compressed and saved on your computer as "Zip" files. The programs you need to unzip them are available on the Internet free of charge. You can download a zip program here.
-
Downloading options: You can either mark the checkboxes for single items or you can choose to download all items in your Download Center or select individual entries for downloading. To download all items, check “Mark all items” to the left of the upper pull-down menu. Items you have not marked and downloaded remain in the Download Center. Your last download will be saved, linked and dated automatically in the “DLC Archive” box.
