The EvoBus GmbH subsidiary responsible for the European bus and coach business of the Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands within the Daimler Group has created a brand-name service offer known as Omniplus. Full-coverage service network throughout Europe
Drivers of Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses and coaches are never alone, even when on the road far from home. Omniplus is built around one of Europe's densest service networks specifically for buses. It is divided into the Omniplus Busworld, Omniplus Bus Port and BusPoint (emergency service points) packages, categorised according to the scope of service offered, and is available to bus drivers throughout Europe. Participating workshops are kept up to date with the latest information from bus manufacturers, specialising in servicing buses with special bus tools as well as trained experts.
A total of 41 EvoBus Service Centres and more than 600 service partners stand at the ready to ensure that Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses and coaches keep rolling. The 24-hour Omniplus service available in the caller's native language ensures fast, professional help virtually throughout Europe by experts trained specifically to work with buses.
Omniplus ServiceCard – The card for all your needs
The free Omniplus ServiceCard is available exclusively to Mercedes-Benz and Setra bus and coach customers. It identifies the holder as a welcome customer at all bus service points in the Omniplus Service Network as well as at over 24,000 UTA acceptance points in 37 countries. The Omniplus ServiceCard offers cashless re-fuelling, settlement of toll costs and much more. In case of emergency, holders of the ServiceCard benefit from 24-hour service and accelerated handling via a guaranteed payment facility. All services utilised with the Omniplus ServiceCard in Europe are settled centrally.
Service Select and Omniplus first-class packages
The Omniplus service contract models for maintenance and repair of Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses and coaches are being augmented with new offers that permit flexible coverage of operating costs for buses. Service Select, available in eleven European countries, offers bus operators a range of modular services custom tailored to their needs. Any combination of service contract modules desired can be selected.
The Omniplus first-class packages provide customers with maximum availability and operational readiness of the top models from the Mercedes-Benz and Setra touring coach range at an attractive fixed price. The fixed-price packages combine either maintenance service with the expansion of the limited warranty for the powertrain (First-Class Package Silver) or maintenance service with the expansion of the limited warranty for the entire vehicle (First-Class Package Gold).
Omniplus Tyre Service – There when you need it most
A flat tyre is one of the unpleasant experiences that can await on a long trip in a touring coach. This is where the Tyre Service from Omniplus comes in: simply call the free hotline and professional assistance by Continental 24-hour service will soon be on the way.
Omniplus Bus Pool – The replacement bus service in Germany
If you need a replacement bus as a result of a breakdown, the exclusive Omniplus Bus Pool service comes to the rescue, available to all holders of an Omniplus ServiceCard in Germany. The bus company can request a replacement bus simply by ringing the hotline number. The hotline then immediately orders a bus with driver from the bus company in the Omniplus Bus Pool.
Online Parts Shop, new Parts Logistics Centre
Online networking of the individual service support points and electronic parts documentation usually permit express delivery of parts within 24 hours throughout all of Europe. Approximately 100,000 parts are continually available at the new Parts Logistics Centre Neu-Ulm. Original parts from Omniplus satisfy the highest safety, reliability, quality and cost-efficiency standards, and are developed and tailored especially for Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses and coaches.
Buying spare parts is quick and easy with the new Omniplus Online Parts Shop, which also indicates any special offers and discounts. A total of 500 customers are conveniently placing their orders for spare parts through the online shop. Using the Omniplus Service Portal, customers log into the online shop and are then connected directly with the service centre systems. They can thus determine if and where the spare part they are searching for is available, find the price and check on shipping status until delivery.
Omniplus driver training seminars pursuant to EU guidelines expanded
Omniplus training courses have always been in great demand. No matter if is a seminar focusing on safety, the environment, emergencies, communication, load securing, technology or workshop training – all components are important to bus drivers. What's more, they will become ever more important in the future. In the future, bus drivers must complete five lessons of at least seven hours each within a five-year period in order to meet continuing education requirements. The Omniplus training offers have been tailored to these requirements. The five basic modules safety training, eco-training, communication training, emergency training and load securing, health promotion and road traffic law satisfy all requirements stipulated in the BKrFQG (Professional Drivers' Qualification Law).
Quality, competence, professionalism: used buses
Omniplus offers competent assistance in the sale and purchase of used buses in 25 networked used vehicle centres throughout Europe. The European Omni­plus used vehicle centres offer a wide variety of used buses of all conventional brands and for any purpose.
Before going on sale, all of the vehicles offered are subjected to comprehensive quality inspections and put to the test by bus specialists at the used vehicle centres. The purchase of a used bus naturally includes extensive warranty service. Conversion work can be undertaken in keeping with customer wishes.
