Daimler Financial Services: financial services for all sectors
  • World's largest provider of commercial vehicle financing solutions
  • Attractive insurance solutions: customers able to qualify for the most favourable bonus class after just one year
  • Reduced premiums for enhanced safety
Daimler Financial Services offers tailor-made financing and service products to support worldwide sales of commercial vehicles belonging to the Mercedes-Benz, Setra, Fuso, Freightliner, WesternStar, Sterling, Thomas Built Buses and Orion brands. With a total contract value of 18 billion euros and a market presence in more than 40 countries, Daimler Financial Services is the world's leading provider of financial services for commercial vehicles, providing financing, insurance cover, service and fleet management from a single source. Daimler Financial Services' presence at the 2008 International Commercial Vehicle Show takes account of this trend: for the first time, its full range of services will be presented as an integral component of the added-value chain.
Leasing and financing from Mercedes-Benz Bank
Mercedes-Benz Bank offers leasing contracts with agreed mileage and guaranteed residual value, thereby enabling customers to calculate projected costs reliably. Customers can choose between standard financing contracts, balloon payments, seasonal contracts and Plus 3 financing. In cooperation with Mercedes-Benz CharterWay, Mercedes-Benz Bank offers comprehensive mobility solutions encompassing workshop services, service leasing and vehicle rental.
Attractive insurance solutions: customers able to qualify for the most favourable bonus class after just one year
Mercedes-Benz Bank offers attractive third-party liability and comprehensive motor insurance packages for Mercedes-Benz Actros, Axor and Atego trucks. Trucks are covered by means of unit premiums based on the value of the vehicles and the way in which they are used rather than on the customer's no-claims discount. The customer qualifies for the most favourable bonus class after just one accident-free year.
Reduced premiums for enhanced safety
In order to enhance road safety, Mercedes-Benz Bank truck insurance supports the installation of safety packages by offering a discount on the premiums. Holders of third-party liability or comprehensive insurance benefit from a five-percent premium discount if the Classic Safety Pack is fitted while the Top Safety Pack attracts a premium discount of ten percent. Policy holders who fit the Active Brake Assist feature from the Top Safety Pack receive a five-percent premium discount.
Another attractive insurance solution which Mercedes-Benz Bank offers especially for Mercedes-Benz Vario, Sprinter and Vito vans takes the specific application of the vehicles into account. The rates are all low, although they differ according to whether the vans are used for own-account transport, commercial freight transport, or courier, express delivery and parcel services. In the case of vans for courier, express delivery and parcel services, operators pay a substantially lower premium if they equip their vehicles with a supplementary safety package. Instead of the usual classification according to no-claims categories, this insurance product uses a simple bonus and surcharge principle.
Choice of two policies for buses
Mercedes-Benz Bank offers two variants of a new insurance product for Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses. Customers can choose between contracts with unit-based and tariff-based premiums. They also have a choice with regard to the scope of cover and the excess. Furthermore, a comprehensive range of service components, such as damage cover in foreign countries and claims management, is available.
