The Lane Assistant is watching the sign-posting at the left hand side and at the right hand side and consequently avoids the leaving of the lane. The system is searching in selected window areas, in which the sign- posting lines are expected to be seen, for dark- light- dark- changes. With special algorithms the system is controlling and following the lane.
