Record runs on the Brooklands circuit, 8 November 1909. At the start: Victor Hémery at the wheel of the 200 hp Benz called "Lightening Benz", the first car to break the 200 km/h mark. Hémery established two world records: Over the half mile distance with a flying start he achieved an average speed of 205.666 km/h, and 202.648 km/h over one kilometre.
