Stuttgart – The Supervisory Board of Daimler AG has nominated Dr. Clemens Börsig for reelection to the Supervisory Board for a period of five years. An election proposal to this effect will be made to the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting to be held in Berlin on April 4, 2012.

Dr. Clemens Börsig (born in 1948) has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG since 2007. Since 2006, he has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG. Dr. Börsig is an expert in the field of accounting and auditing. He also has a wide knowledge of management and finance due to his many years of business experience including executive board positions at Deutsche Bank, RWE AG and Robert Bosch GmbH, as well as other board and committee activities.

In addition to his Supervisory Board activities at Daimler AG, Dr. Börsig is currently also a member of the Supervisory Boards of Deutsche Bank AG (chairman), Linde AG and Bayer AG. Furthermore, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Emerson Electric Co.
