13 Citaro LE and two Sprinter City 65 vehicles for Verkehrsgesellschaft Gersprenztal mbH (VGG)
On 26 November 2015 at the Lorsch Abbey UNESCO World Heritage site, Verkehrsgesellschaft Gersprenztal mbH (VGG) and Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar GmbH (VRN) staged a public presentation of 13 new Mercedes-Benz Citaro LE (Low Entry) vehicles and two Mercedes-Benz Sprinter City 65 vehicles for serving the new Ried bus network.

Large-scale order for Mercedes-Benz Vans: Schlienz-Tours relies on Mercedes-Benz Vito for transport of handicapped children
With the new Mercedes-Benz Vito in its portfolio, Schlienz-Tours has won a contract tendered by the Esslingen district authority. As of now the tourist travel and regular-service bus operation specialist from Kernen near Stuttgart ensures with its 48 specially equipped Vito that around 350 handicapped children are able to attend the Rohraecker School in Esslingen on time.

Beagle on Board: Snoopy now drives V-Class
The only thing greater than their new vehicle is their friendship: From now on Charlie Brown and Snoopy will be travelling in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Mercedes-Benz Vans is taking on the co-promotion of "The Peanuts Movie", the popular comic characters' first 3D film to hit cinemas, and is accompanying the premiere with a 360-degree marketing campaign in Europe.

The success story continues: V-Class now also in Japan and Middle East
The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class was presented to the Japanese public at this year's Tokyo Motor Show and will become available in Japan as of January 2016. With the start of sales in Japan, the new MPV is setting out to make its mark in a further important right-hand-drive market, after Great Britain. This week the V-Class is also presented at the Dubai International Motor Show and will become available from spring 2016 onwards in markets like the United Arab Emirates and other countries in Middle East.

New driving and mobility aids at Mercedes-Benz Vans: Get in and drive: tailor-made solutions for people with restricted mobility
Tailor-made solutions for even more (auto)mobility: from early 2016 Mercedes-Benz Vans will be offering a comprehensive package of driving and mobility aids for people with physical handicaps and age-related restrictions for the V-Class and Citan ex factory. The vehicles and equipment come from the same source. The systems are centrally installed at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, and naturally the full factory warranty applies to all conversions. The new driving and mobility aids are currently celebrating their debut at the "TecForum Clever Bodybuilder Solutions" in Hamburg.

Special moment for Mercedes-Benz Vans: First Mercedes-Benz Vito from Argentina receives papal blessing and is donated to aid organisation
Pope Francis has blessed the first Mercedes-Benz Vito to be produced in his home country of Argentina. At the ceremony held on 13 October in the Vatican, the head of the Roman Catholic Church also affixed his signature to the white Vito Tourer. Mercedes-Benz Argentina, the national subsidiary of Daimler Group, is donating this very special Vito to Scholas Occurrentes, an aid organisation supported by Pope Francis. The van will be auctioned at a later date. The proceeds will benefit sports, art and technology projects of the organisation.

Professor Dr Joerg Zuern, Head of Development Mercedes-Benz Vans, received the “European Safety Award for Commercial Vehicles” at the DEKRA Future Congress on 6 October 2015. The award has been conferred by DEKRA together with the German Road Safety Council and the European Association for Accident Research and Analysis every year since 1990.
