For the 2011 Los Angeles Design Challenge, which is seeking to find the most spectacular new film car for Hollywood, the designers from the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studios in Sindelfingen (Germany) and Carlsbad (USA), have joined the ranks of the screen-writers. Their efforts have borne fruit in the form of three visionary “hero cars” – a Mercedes-Benz and a smart, each perfectly cast in an action thriller, and a Maybach luxury carriage starring in a modern-day fairytale. The futuristic Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow teams up with two crash test dummies to battle it out with the forces of evil.
In the year of the 125th anniversary of the automobile Maybach is displaying the Edition 125! at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. This unusual one-off piece presents exquisite new possibilities for individually styling the high-end saloons. The highlights include contour lighting and the laser-engraved light motif featuring the double-M in a curved triangle in the front armrest. The wide-ranging new individualisation options perfectly complement the confident air
of the legendary Maybach saloons.
As in previous years, Daimler AG is again set to be represented at this year’s St Moritz Art Masters (SAM) with the brands Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and AMG. The occasion will mark the fourth time that the Stuttgart-based automotive manufacturer has demonstrated its commitment to the festival for avant-garde contemporary art, which is scheduled to take place from 26 August to 4 September 2011 in St Moritz and in the surrounding Oberengadin region.
It's considered to be one of the most prestigious events at the Cannes Film Festival: the legendary "de GRISOGONO Party" in the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc
at Cap d’Antibes. One particularly precious highlight is set to sparkle here this evening. Swiss jewellery manufacturer and watchmaker de GRISOGONO and German luxury car maker Maybach will be unveiling a Maybach 62S Saloon studded with precious-carat diamonds to a gathering of around 1.000 guests from the international jet set, film industry and show business.
Since 2010 Maybach has presented its current high-end luxury saloons with added sparkle and with significantly extended high-class equipment and individualisation options. A large chrome radiator grille confidently emphasises the legendary saloons’ exceptional status. Highlights of this striking look include the bonnet with a shaped edge, the trim on the front bumper with daytime driving lights featuring LED technology, high-quality, dark red tail lights and an exclusively developed paint and stylish wheels. Those purchasing a Maybach 57 and 57 S are now also able to opt for the rear reclining seat from the Maybach 62 models.
