Daimler AG (stock-exchange abbreviation DAI) intends to appoint Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard as a full member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG. In this context, following consultations with the Presidential Committee of the Supervisory Board, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG, Dr. Manfred Bischoff, will propose to the entire Supervisory Board that the Board of Management of Daimler AG should be enlarged.
In January, Mercedes-Benz continued the positive trend of the past few months by posting significant increases in its worldwide sales. A total of 67,000 passenger cars were delivered to customers, 24 percent more than in the previous year (2009: 53,900 vehicles).

Daimler AG and the State Company for Automotive Industry (SCAI) signed an agreement in the German embassy in Baghdad yesterday concerning a planned partnership for the supply of complete Mercedes-Benz trucks and assembly kits. The agreement is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that Daimler signed with the Iraqi government in July 2008.
